Judging criteria
Efficiency ratio vs. human baseline
40%How close your system's measured efficiency comes to (or exceeds) the documented human baseline for your chosen metric.
Measurement reproducibility
25%Methodology rigor, raw data availability, and ability for independent parties to replicate your results.
Innovation
20%Novel approaches, architectures, or techniques that advance the state of energy-efficient engineering.
Documentation clarity
15%Clear write-up of assumptions, test conditions, equipment, and calculation methods.
Scoring formula
efficiency_score = (submission_metric / human_baseline_metric) × 100A score of 100 means your system matches the human baseline. Scores above 100 indicate your system exceeds human efficiency on the chosen metric.
Eligibility
- Open to individuals, teams, academic groups, and corporate labs
- Teams may enter multiple tracks with separate submissions
- All measurement equipment and methodology must be documented
- Submissions must include raw data and calculation spreadsheets
